The risk of side effects associated with heart problems may increase with the dose and duration of use. It is, therefore, important that you use the lowest dose that controls your pain. You should not take Celebrex for longer than is necessary to control the symptoms. Celebrex should be swallowed whole with a drink of water. The capsules can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food. However, try to take each dose of Celebrex at the same time every day. Contact your doctor within two weeks of starting treatment if you do not feel any benefits.

I have been taking Celebrex for 10-12 years, 2 – 200mg per day. Arthritis is all joints including spine. Also degenerative discs in spine so pain pretty much entire body! Celebrex is my life line!! Got VERY expensive so switched to generic Celecoxib when it can out. It’s the same thing but cheaper!!!

I have osteoarthritis and muscular dystrophy and live with pain. Celebrex works great for me and so does the generic form. No side effects. I have gained weight but not sure that is from this drug because I’ve always had a weight problem. I have to get quarterly blood drawn because the med is not meant for long term use and hard on the system but I’ve been on it for at least a year and a half and no problems with it. I take 200mg daily and doctor won’t approve 2 pills a day. I find that it wears off after about 8 hours and want another but I can’t have another. If I forget my pill, I know it so there is no question it works for my pain

Have had pain from multiple sports injuries. Currently using it for shoulder pain (tendonitis, muscle tears, tendon tears) and it allows me to play golf and tennis without any issues. IT is a miracle drug for me as I don’t react favorably to most anti-inflammatories (stomach pain) but Celebrex give me no side effects.

Celebrex has been a helpful long term medication for my degenerative conditions. The arthritis pain in my knees has been reduced and has allowed me to move without pain. This drug is not for short term relief. In order to get the maximum benefit, expect to take it for 10-15 weeks. I have osteoporosis and arthritis with hardly any cartilage remaining in my knees.

I had terrible anxiety and panic attacks. After my first 1/2 dose of clonazepam I stopped having panic attacks. I have been on this medication for over 10 years at .5mg. Recently I was told there is a risk of cognitive impairment with long term use and the doctor wanted me to wean off and take something else. I won’t do it because for me this medication saved my life.

Finally found a doctor who will prescribe this. I miss Bextra. Ponstel, Motrin, and Naproxen all upset my stomach. My tip for menstrual cramps: if your cycle is regular, start taking it 48 hours in advance. Get ahead of the pain because it’s hard to play catch up.

Works very well if you take it as prescribed. It can be a very addictive drug but if you use it the right way and you do not stay on it for a very long time and you will not become physically and mentally addicted.I have been on all different types of anxiety and panic disorder medication and in most of them are addictive, I’ve been taking them since I am 12 I am 27 and I have had not one problem and I have been on and off them through the years.
